8 Trends We Spotted During NYFW Fall 2024 Presentations

As NYFW Fall 2024 wraps we have all the trends from the dazzling runways and unforgettable moments along with some inspiration for you and to help you share with your clients!

As a stylist, it is important for you to stay up to date on the trends straight from the runway and be able to incorporate them into your client's wardrobes.

We have prepared a recap to help your speak to the trends like a pro and even pulled some inspiration images for you to sprinkle into your social media, style boards, newsletters and more! If you are a Glamhive member, you can download a folder of all of them (plus a couple highlight reels and extra bonus images) here.

Now let's get to the trends!  We didn't see number three coming...

1. Monochrome. We love a coordinated head-to-toe look. Bonus points if you match the boots with the fur.

2. Fur Fever. Maybe it’s mob wife, maybe it’s simply… fall fashion.

3. Haute Hoods. From oversized hoods to snug balaclavas to hoodies under jackets at Coach, we’re seeing a a bounty of identity-concealing headwear.

4. Grunge. Tattered fabrics, muted hues, and plaids hint at 90s grunge. Even #corpcore becomes a little undone.

5. Red Wine. Burgundy and blood red stand out in a sea of muted hues.

6. Moonlit Gray. Gray is here in a big way, but we’re loving the subtle iridescence of “moon” gray seen at Tory Burch, Sandy Liang, and Helmut Lang.

7. Sheer. Sheer continues to be a big trend in 2024, from freeing the nipple to more layered ensembles.

8. Capes & Shawls. The drama is in the drapery. The many capes, cowls, and shawls on the runway are giving major vigilante vibes.
